At De Anza College, the Student Equity and Achievement (SEA) Plan outlines some of the college's top priorities. It is updated regularly and is closely integrated with the college's Educational Master Plan.

The Student Equity and Achievement (SEA) Plan is required by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office and is informed by De Anza’s Educational Master Plan 2022-2027 as well as its “Equity Plan Re-Imagined” framework.
De Anza intends to close the equity gaps for disproportionately impacted student groups as identified in the SEA Plan for 2022-25 by integrating this report with De Anza's "Equity Plan Re-imagined." The SEA Plan for 2022-25 identifies which student groups are disproportionately impacted, and the "Equity Plan Re-imagined" plan provides a framework for how the college can shift current culture and practices to improving student outcomes and closing the equity gaps observed.
Equity Plan Re-Imagined
The new "Equity Plan Re-Imagined" report reflects feedback from shared governance groups and strategic planning sessions held in spring 2022. It was approved by College Council on May 19, 2022, as guidance on the development of the next collegewide Student Equity Plan.
SEA Program Information
De Anza's Student Equity Plan is developed under the state's Student Equity and Achievement (SEA) program, which was established under state Education Code 78222 to support the statewide Guided Pathways effort and the elimination of achievement gaps.
