Biography

Dr. Li Wei Sun received her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from New York University, 1986, and her Doctoral degree in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, 1993.

She has been a master teacher in various types of early childhood programs and has held an associate professor’s position in the Department of Early Childhood Education at National Hsin-Chu Teachers College, Taiwan. She began teaching community college students in 2002 at De Anza.

Since teaching at De Anza, she has supported different community agents including church groups, local libraries, and community services in their parenting and child development activities. She is currently the Campus Coordinator of Child Development Training Consortium and the president of Bay Area Early Childhood Educators Association.
