Closing the Flint Center
After examining numerous options for addressing structural, safety, accessibility and usage issues in the 50-year-old Flint Center building on De Anza's campus – at an estimated cost of $50 million or more – the Foothill-De Anza Board of Trustees voted on June 10, 2019, to permanently close the Flint Center.
Since then, the college and district have engaged in further discussions about the best uses for the Flint Center site and for construction funding available through measure G.

In June 2024, Interim President Christina G. Espinosa-Pieb reconvened the task force to collaborate on planning for use of Measure G funds on the De Anza campus. Further updates will be posted on the Measure G homepage.
